Main values of the members of the Elders Council in their duties:

In carrying out their duties, the members of the Elders Council must be characterized by the following values:

1° being impartial and avoiding sentiments;

2° respecting and honoring public institutions;

3° being determined to fight against anything that could harm the integrity of the country and Rwandans;

4° being determined to preserve Rwandan cultural values;

5o having zeal;

6o Confidence, mutual respect, confidentiality, common agreement in all matters;

7o self-respect and integrity;

8o avoiding prioritizing the personal interest to the detriment of the general interest;

9o not interfering with the duties of other institutions.
